Our Dining Room| Details + Sources

Our small dining room has come a long way since moving in about four years ago. Over the years we have added:

Window bench for more storage, new flooring, ran electric to both sides of the window to install a wall sconce on each side, removed two old windows and replaced with one large picture window, painted the room, new ceiling light fixture, opened and reframed the entrance with faux wooden beams.

Custom bench cushion: Etsy Wall sconce: OldeBrickLighting

I would call this more of our formal dining room because we honestly do not use it to dine unless we are hosting large groups. It's also typically a space for the children to play board games or craft. I love to sit here to paint and watch all of the farm animals through the picture window.

What I love most about this space is the amount of natural light it receives and the contrast of beautiful flowers against the dark walls.

Our Magnolia tree is in full bloom and I love the way they look in this space!
