Our Dining Room| Details + Sources

Our small dining room has come a long way since moving in about four years ago. Over the years we have added:

Window bench for more storage, new flooring, ran electric to both sides of the window to install a wall sconce on each side, removed two old windows and replaced with one large picture window, painted the room, new ceiling light fixture, opened and reframed the entrance with faux wooden beams.

Custom bench cushion: Etsy Wall sconce: OldeBrickLighting

I would call this more of our formal dining room because we honestly do not use it to dine unless we are hosting large groups. It's also typically a space for the children to play board games or craft. I love to sit here to paint and watch all of the farm animals through the picture window.

Wild horses + Sparrow prints: Juniper, 11X14 Frames: Amazon, Pillow covers: Etsy

Peg rail: Amazon, 8X10 wooden frame: Amazon

What I love most about this space is the amount of natural light it receives and the contrast of beautiful flowers against the dark walls.

Market basket: Amazon, Vintage egg basket: Amazon

Our Magnolia tree is in full bloom and I love the way they look in this space!

Custom table: Landcaster Co. Dining Chairs: Wayfair

Finish details:

Paint: Walls- Peppercorn by Sherwin Williams

Window bench- Green Earth by Sherwin Williams

If there is one thing I've learned from years of remodel, it is that creating a home you love takes time and will teach you a ton about true contentment. I hope this room transformation inspires you to enjoy the process of making your house a home. Let me know if you have any questions! Cheering for you on your house to home journey.
